Because sound diminishes with distance, therefore light ‘must’ also behave the same way. The “Red Shift” is the same as the “Doppler Effect”, they claim.

Scientists falsely claim that Newton said that a large amount of matter could affect the location of a smaller amount of different matter. Therefore, scientists claim that a steel battleship can cause a wooden rowboat to move closer to the battleship, “because the battleship has more mass than the rowboat has.”
Sirius is the brightest star in the sky. How many light years away from Sol is Sirius? Astronomers designate Sirius as Alpha Canis Major. The online version of Encyclopedia Britannica lists Sirius at “about 8.6 light-years from the solar system.” Some astronomers believe it is 8.7 light years away.
